School fundraiser orders are expected to be in This Week! on Monday, October 5th.

Show and tell was a fun and interesting time. We had a presentation about the Army and some of us were rewarded with medals. The students all received a new pencil. We checked out lizards and newts, katydids and a new pet dog. We learned about a trip to Washington D.C. and many students brought in arrow heads and pieces of flint. We learned about dry land fish and a scorpion. Other items we checked out moon sand, and rocks carved as sharks, photos from a fishing trip, a great reptile book,and a precious family picture. The students did another great job!

Friday September 25

We will begin our new reading book on Monday, Sept. 28th. It gets much more difficult very quickly. Please help your child practice the high- frequency words (sight words) often. I sent them home in the form of flash cards to make it hopefully more convenient. If your child can read those words easily then most of the other words will be able to be sounded out.

Show and tell will take place on Friday, Oct. 2nd. My students are excited to hear all of the good stories and learn new things.

No spelling test on Friday, Oct. 2nd. We will resume the following week.

A Great Website

This is a great website that we will be working with in our classroom from time to time. It is called www.starfall.com. It has great reading activities and other fun things to do at home. Try it out and let me know what you think.
